The Hollow Time of My Life

As I throw the stale water in the sink
My soul has gone dehydrated, from
Too much thinking and not of enough feeling

I pull off another birthday from the Calendar
Of my life, I can’t help but notice
That I am all lone and nobody knows me
Like really gets me, even when I tell them directly

{All I want for my birthday
is a blunt, walk around and
look at all the dusty old books}

Disconnected, I reek of the sickness
6 days on the streets of Chino
I still have the marks of sunburn (on my arms)

I have smoked all my birthday blunts
Before it was time and someone
Has thrown out the roaches

As I search for some kind of release, turn up
the bass, its gonna be one of those days
This digital life I live has its toll

Haven’t you been told
We have all sold our soul

Fuck, it's only 8:13 am
I’m gonna have to slug
My wretched corpse
Through the rest of the day

Kissing babies and shaking hands
Running for a real-life boy
In the county of my mind

I both miss and hate early morning 40s
But the fresh water does the job quicker
And saves the hollow time of my life…
